Chocolate Covered Strawberry Pie!!

here are time when, when we have guests over, I don’t feel like doing something special for dessert and often buy pre-made cakes and desserts to treat my guests. But I’m the type of person who likes home-cooked food and likes to cook, especially when I have the time and opportunity to try something new and interesting in the kitchen, that’s why when I found this easy, fast and delicious recipe I just had to try it and share it with you!
This chocolate covered strawberry pie is the ultimate treat for you and your guests and it will take you only a couple of minutes to prepare it! The ingredients you will need are:
1 refrigerated pie crust
for the strawberry silk:
¼ cup boiling water
8 oz strawberry cream cheese
3 oz strawberry gelatin
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup powdered sugar
for the chocolate layer:
1 ½ cups chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup heavy cream
for the chocolate covered strawberries:
24-30 strawberries depending on their size
1 tbsp shortening
2 cups chocolate chips
So, first bake the pie crust according to the package. Then, for the strawberry silk, mix the gelation in the water for a couple of minutes until it desolves and add the cream cheese. With a mixer beat the heavy cream and the vanilla, and after they have combined, add the powdered sugar. Combine this with the cream cheese mixture and spread it in the pie crust which you have refrigerated for 30 minutes.
Then, you have to make the chocolate layer. Mix the heavy cream and vanilla and heat them until the mixture starts to boil. Then pour the mixture over the chocolate chips and leave them to soak for 5 minutes without stirring. Then stir them until smooth. Pout the chocolate over the strawberry silk layer and leave it in the fridge for another 2 hours.
At the end, you have to make the chocolate covered strawberries. Wash the strawberries and remove the stems. Melt the chocolate chips and the shortening and stir the mixture gently. Lastly, dip the strawberriesin the chocolate and attach them to toothpicks that you will later put on top of your pie.
That’s it! One of the easiest thing you can do to make your guests admire your cooking skills!
